Dyne Bordeaux

From the ancient waters below the layers of time and space that creation has formed, this creature flew forth on terrible, black wings. A dragon, born of pure shadow and every bit as cold and indifferent as the night itself. At least - that's how this beast once was. Flying silently through the void, from plane to plane and rock to rock, until it eventually found itself on a mostly blue marble, orbiting a large ball of fire. Once upon a time, this very creature was the source of nightmare and myth; the very reason why a fear of the night was instilled in all, the world over. None had properly laid eyes on him, but the shadow lurking even darker than moonless night and standing out barely even in the pitch black of darkened rooms were enough to leave paranoia on the mind. Something was there.

However, this would not last all too long - a handful of generations through the Dark Ages. Eventually, the Shadow stopped showing itself in the night. It became less interested in watching from the darkest corners of this world - instead, it took to a familiar form, working its way into society slowly over time. Of course, with no concept of death, the beast went right through years upon years without showing signs of age, bringing another creature to the minds of mortals: Vampire. This would not do to sate his curiosity, and so his form changed once more - and from that point on, it was at semi regular intervals to keep suspicion away from himself.. And so he flourished through the years, taking well to being among these creatures that once had only had his curiosity. Perhaps soon, the world may yet be ready to see his proper form, but for the time being, the creature hides in plain sight as a handsome, well dressed wolf.
